So, there are people who come to this site who have known me in real life. Then, there are others who have only known me over the interwebs. So, I thought that a page like this would be appropriate.
I have read and filled out so many "About Me" or profile pages in the past several years. There is no telling how many accounts I actually have out there starting from when I first got on the internet in high school. I know that I have closed down a lot of them, but I'm sure that I have a few loose ends floating across the world wide web. Let's just say, I don't think I could be a spy if I wanted to.
So what is it that I want to share with you, my reading audience, that gives you a brief but accurate portrayal of who I am at this moment in time. Hmmmm.
Well, I'm a Christian, an ambassador to the Kingdom of Heaven. I believe that God created the world and us. I believe that he loves us and that sin can't be in his presence, so he sent his son to die for our sins. I hope that my writing reflects and expands on these facts, which you can find in the Inner Workings Section of this site.
I'm also a wife. I married Michael on December 29, 2007 after dating for two and a half years. He taught me the meaning of love as a choice of commitment. I know that no matter how much I may be crazy and stubborn, he loves me because he made the choice to love me and holds to that commitment. That is true romance, although the random flowers and special gifts from time to time don't hurt either. I have to tell you one quick story. One night, I was watching a TV show with him and this elderly man asked a younger girl to dance as he hummed an old 1940s song. It was romantic, but sweet. I said, "I want to dance with an old man." And Michael said, "I'm working on it." meaning that he's working on becoming the old man who will dance with me someday.
I have too many hobbies. I like to read classic novels and teen novels. I like to watch all sorts of movies, except for bloody horror flicks. My favorites are ones with action and romance. I like to create movies and take pictures, however I realize that I want what I do to have meaning, not just taking random pictures just to take them. I like to work with my hands whether gardening, cross stitch, scrapbooking, sketching, writing, poetry, blogging, cooking, painting, or straightening a mess. I like to run and learn how to play sports, although I'm sorta uncoordinated and always afraid that I will hurt myself. I like to try new diets, not necessarily to try to lose weight, but just to try something different. I like to try new things in general and want to constantly be learning something new, like why people behave the way they do or the history of the toothbrush. I also like math proofs and figuring out how things are connected mathematicly.
I guess that's a decent snapshot of who I am. I hope you enjoy reading the site as much as I enjoyed working on it.
